DAVE MAGARITY: Entering your third season, are you on schedule or ahead of schedule?

JAY WRIGHT: I'd say we're on schedule. The current freshmen group is only our second recruiting class. I like the kind of people we have brought in and I like the kind of kids we are able to be involved with.

MAGARITY: How often do you talk to Rollie Massimino?

WRIGHT: It's usually a couple of times a week. Coach sometimes stops by practice or I see him at a function.

MAGARITY: Who would get more done in the Middle East, Dick Cheney or John Chaney?

WRIGHT: John Chaney. He definitely has a better heart.

MAGARITY: Is it true that Bruiser Flint is more stylish than you?

WRIGHT: It's a very tense competition that both Bruiser and I take great pride in. If he wasn't such a good guy, I'd hate him for the clothes he wears.

MAGARITY: Which is more annoying, Aflac commercials or J-Low and Ben Affleck?

WRIGHT: (laughing) Nothing about J-Lo is annoying.
